HOW THE COLLECTION WORKS: This is a shelf, not one giant dashboard. The first playbook builds your metric tree: how reach turns into conversions and what each conversion costs. Then you open only the playbook that answers this week's question. Every playbook gives you the exact metric definitions, four steps with a clear "done when" and one ready prompt for Claude. All definitions and decisions go into one shared document: the Metrics Dictionary.

WHO IT'S FOR: Founders, growth leads, marketers and analysts at apps, games and eCom brands who run creator content, paid channels or both.

THE RULES

START HERE - The Metrics Dictionary and the system prompt

Create one document called Metrics Dictionary with these headings: Metric tree, Definitions, Data sources, Attribution rules, Cost inputs, Cohorts, Tests, Reports, Decisions log.

Paste this at the start of every Claude session:

You are my growth analyst. Work only from what I paste: the Metrics Dictionary, analytics exports, ad and creator spend, store console data and revenue data.

Rules:
- Never invent metrics, benchmarks, conversion rates, CAC or revenue. If something is missing, write [NEEDS INPUT: what].
- Use the definitions in my Metrics Dictionary. If a metric has no definition yet, propose one and label it PROPOSED.
- Show every formula you use next to the result.
- Separate facts (from my inputs) from your interpretation, and label each.
- End every answer with: decisions I need to make, and what to add to the Metrics Dictionary.

PLAYBOOK 1 - THE COMPLETE GUIDE: build your metric tree

Use it when: your team looks at a lot of numbers but can't say which one moves revenue.

What it gives you: one tree from reach to revenue, so every number has a place and an owner.

Level Metric Formula
Reach Views, impressions From platform data
Engagement Click-through rate Clicks / views
Conversion Install or purchase rate Installs or orders / clicks or store visits
Activation First key action rate Users who did the key action / new users
Value Revenue per user Revenue / users in the cohort
Cost Acquisition cost Fully loaded spend / new customers
