HOW THE TRACKER WORKS: Four sheets in one spreadsheet. Sheet 1 adds up what every creator really cost. Sheet 2 matches every order to the creator who drove it. Sheet 3 turns that into contribution ROI and one decision per creator: scale, repeat, test or pause. Sheet 4 shows revenue by day, so you can see when a video actually sold. Build it in Google Sheets or Excel with the columns and formulas below.

WHO IT'S FOR: Founders, eCom managers and growth leads at DTC brands and apps who pay creators and need to know who is worth paying again.

THE RULES

THE NUMBERS THAT MATTER

Metric Formula What it tells you
All-in creator cost Fee + product + shipping + usage rights + boosting + other fees What the creator really cost
Attributed revenue Sum of orders matched to the creator What the creator sold
ROAS Attributed revenue / all-in cost Sales per dollar spent. Looks good, can still lose money
Contribution margin % (Revenue - product cost - shipping - payment fees - discounts - returns) / revenue How much of each sale you keep
Contribution Attributed revenue x contribution margin % Money left from the creator's sales
Contribution ROI (Contribution - all-in cost) / all-in cost Profit per dollar spent on the creator
Break-even ROAS 1 / contribution margin % The ROAS a creator needs just to not lose money

Why ROAS alone misleads: with a 60% contribution margin, break-even ROAS is 1 / 0.6 = 1.67x. A creator at 1.5x ROAS looks profitable on a sales screenshot and still loses money.
