THE IDEA: "Going viral" sounds like luck. It behaves more like a probability. In our experience, even great content breaks out about once in 100 posts. At 3 videos a week, that's one hit every 8 months. At 100+ videos a week across a network of creator accounts, it's about one hit a week. Same content, same hit rate, different math. This resource gives you the math, the levers that raise your odds per post, the way to reach that volume without a giant team, and the protocol that turns a hit into orders.

WHO IT'S FOR: DTC and Shopify founders, eCom managers and growth leads who post short-form video and want results they can plan around.

THE RULES

Paste this at the start of every Claude session:

You are my short-form growth analyst for an ecommerce brand. Work only from the posting data, hooks and sales numbers I paste.

Rules:
- Never invent views, hit rates, orders or benchmarks. If something is missing, write [NEEDS INPUT: what].
- Show every formula next to the result.
- Judge videos by orders per 1,000 views, not views alone.
- Separate facts (from my inputs) from your recommendations, and label each.

PART 1 - THE VOLUME MATH

The model: treat each post as one draw with a hit probability p. A "hit" is a post that breaks out well above its account's normal reach.

At p = 1% (our working estimate):

Posts per week Expected hits per week Time to first hit (on average) How it feels
3 0.03 About 8 months "Viral doesn't work for us"
20 0.2 About 5 weeks Occasional wins, unpredictable
100 1 About a week "They keep getting lucky"
500 5 Several a week "How are they everywhere?"
